with the release of cruella i thought it was a perfect time to rank this franchise from the worst to the best the 101 dalmatians franchise that is that has four films in thanks to the release of cruella
4. 101 DALMATIANS 1996
the remake to the original film that nobody asked for now i remember having this on disney plus and i think i watched it once but i could not remember it until i watched 102 Dalmatians and that how forgettable it is now the whole idea about remaking 101 Dalmatians is way too crazy and i think this film will go down as being lame i mean i am surprised this film was bad
3. 102 DALMATIANS
this movie is a hidden gem it has a really cool story to it it has some really cool ideas like cruella returning getting out of prison and than she decides to steal the puppies again and it is an entertaining movie it is in the middle for me i am not saying it amazing but if you are comparing it to like the original this would be in number 3 i mean the 1996 remake was a disaster but this movie just feels more fresh it does not feel too boring and i am happy about that it not as good as the original but the movie does a really great job at almost everything i mean this movie takes all the credit for what it is
2. ONE HUNDRED AND ONE DALMATIANS
now i originally thought how can you do a disney film about dogs and yes we have other disney films the issue with this movie i think is it trying to be a normal disney movie and also it not a normal disney movie i really liked the film so i feel like it not a normal disney movie and it trying to be a normal disney movie

i mean on paper it sounds basic but there so many themes for this film that we ferget i mean it starts off as her being this child but then there that discovery that the mom she thought died was not her real mom and the villain played by emma thompson is her real mom and then when you get to like the ending it becomes a masterpiece and you get this amazing origin story about cruella de villi and how she becomes the villain she is
